The School of Liberal Arts and Sciences successfully organised an exclusive webinar on post internship for Taylor’s University Bachelor of Psychology students on 15th July 2020, 8:00pm to 9.30pm. A total of 80 participants attended the webinar to discover the advancement and potential careers after their graduation. In addition to career choices, students were introduced to the upcoming and exciting master's programme at Taylor’s University - Master of Clinical Psychology.
The speakers were Dr. Lim Hooi Shan, Programme Director, Senior Lecturer, Clinical Psychologist, and Registered/Licensed Counsellor together with Ms. Sam Jeng Mun, Senior Lecturer and Clinical Psychologist from the Master of Clinical Psychology programme. The session was moderated by Ms. Pang Chia Yee, Stream Coordinator from the Bachelor of Psychology programme.
It was a very interactive webinar as students posed many questions regarding the journey to become a psychologist as well as other potential careers after their graduation. During the webinar, a survey was given to the participants. Results showed that majority of the participants have interest in furthering their studies to a psychology-related masters programme in order to secure their future career.
In summary, the webinar was able to support the participants by guiding them to various pathways so that they can embark into their preferred future careers in psychology and options for further studies.
